what is highlands?
Highlands is a Hack Club YSWS(You Ship, We Ship) about building things and climbing mountains. Work on software or hardware projects, log your hours, and earn rewards as you climb. Finish the challenge and you could even end up at an IRL hackathon in Yerevan, Armenia.
1. Pick a Mountain
Choose a mountain to climb. Each mountain is made up of several stages
2. Start Climbing
Work on your software or hardware projects to climb through its stages
3. Beat the Clock
Every stage has its own time requirement and deadline. Meet the requirement before time runs out to move higher
4. Reach the Summit
Complete every stage of the mountain. Your projects can be made across multiple stages as you're climbing a mountain, not just working on one project
5. Ship the Mountain
When you finish a mountain, submit the projects you've built during the climb for review
6. Climb Higher
Once your mountain is approved, you receive its reward, such as bonus currency, and can start the next mountain
